À l’hôpital Jeffery Hale, le 23 juin 2017, à l’âge de 75 ans, est décédé monsieur Raymond (Ray) George Cardinal, époux de dame Joan Foders, fils de feu dame Doris Thorne et de feu monsieur George Cardinal. Il demeurait à Neufchâtel, Québec.
La famille recevra les condoléances à l’église Trinity (2687, chemin des Quatre-Bourgeois, Québec, QC G1V 1X3), le 1er juillet 2017 de 12h à 13h et sera suivi du service religieux à 13h. L’inhumation aura lieu après la réception au cimetière Mount Hermon.
Outre son épouse Joan Foders, il laisse dans le deuil, ses filles : Debbie (Scott Davis) et Kim (Pat Latour); ses petits-enfants : Madelaine, Lillian, Elliott Davis; Megan, Nathan Latour; ses sœurs et son frère : Margaret (Jim Oman), Nancy (Denis Roy), Jimmy; son beau-frère : Robert Foders (Julia Szell); sa belle-sœur : Edith Gauvin ( feu Russell Foders), ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines, parents et ami(e)s.
Un sincère remerciement au personnel des soins palliatifs de l’hôpital Jeffery Hale pour leur dévouement, la qualité des soins prodigués et le support apporté.

On June 23, 2017, Mr. Raymond (Ray) George Cardinal passed away peacefully at Jeffery Hale Hospital. He was 75 years old. Son of Doris Thorne and George Cardinal.
Beloved husband of Joan Foders. Loving father of Debbie (Scott Davis) and Kim (Pat Latour). Proud grandfather to Madelaine, Lillian, Elliott Davis; Megan, Nathan Latour. Brother to Margaret (Jim Oman), Nancy (Denis Roy), Jimmy. Brother-in-law to Robert Foders (Julia Szell), Edith Gauvin (the late Russell Foders). Loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

The funeral service will be held on July 1st 2017, at 1 pm at Trinity Church (2687, chemin des Quatre-Bourgeois, Québec, QC G1V 1X3), in Sainte-Foy. Respects may be made at Trinity Church in the hour prior to the service. The burial will take place following the service and reception at Mount Hermon Cemetery.

Mes sincères condoléances à toute la famille. Une ancienne voisine de Neufchâtel (Kim aimait bien jaser et se balancer avec notre père) je suis egalement une collègue de travail chez Bell de Nancy.

Dear Debbie and Kim, I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I only met him a couple of times but Bob (for some reason I called him Bob) was always kind and generous. I wish for you to have the strength to handle this time and hope that he is in a better place. Luke

Ray Cardinal was a dear friend of mine and a long time supporter of our QHS Alumni Foundation. Ray was also a close neighbour and classmate; and besides trekking to school together each day along Rue Père-Marquette, we spent hundreds of hours playing sports at the Y, and at QHS. He was truly one of a kind as his friends can attest. I will miss his kindness, giggling laughter, and smiling face - as will all those who Ray touched during his colourful lifetime. Our condolences go out to Ray's wife Joan, and to the rest of the Cardinal family. He will certainly be missed by all. Rest in peace good friend.
